Why Algae?

The beauty of microalgae like spirulina and chlorella lies in their simplicity and power. They are true treasure troves of nutrients, rich in proteins, vitamins, and minerals.

In a world where hunger and malnutrition still affect billions of people, microalgae can make a decisive difference. They can be grown in areas unsuitable for conventional agriculture and require far less water than traditional crops.

Our Research

Since our founding in 2000, a spirit of innovation has been sweeping through our halls. In our in-house lab, our teams research innovative applications for microalgae. We collaborate with renowned brands to develop real solutions for the problems of our time.

Our projects are diverse, ranging from the development of an algae-based plastic for sneakers to the invention of a protein-rich pizza dough. That's why, in addition to the Chlorella species, we now cultivate a good dozen other microalgae species suitable for a wide range of applications.

This synergy of sustainable cultivation, our many years of experience, the latest findings from our research projects, and constant quality controls ensures that we can guarantee exceptional quality for our Algomed products.
